BackBox Labs Launches: Cybersecurity Company from the Open Source Ecosystem

The BackBox.org Team is proud to announce the launch of BackBox Labs, a new company dedicated to delivering professional ethical hacking services and advanced cybersecurity solutions built on the experience, knowledge, and technologies developed throughout the BackBox ecosystem.

Since its beginnings in Italy in 2010 as a community-driven Ubuntu-based penetration testing distribution, BackBox has grown into a globally recognized reference point for security professionals, researchers, and ethical hackers. This strong open source heritage remains at the heart of everything we do.

While BackBox.org continues its mission as a community-driven open source project, BackBox Labs has been created as a separate company with the goal of delivering enterprise-grade cybersecurity services, research, and innovative solutions to organizations worldwide, while maintaining a strong connection to the open source values that shaped its origins.

At the center of this new initiative is BackBox AI, formerly known as Xfenser AI. BackBox AI will become the flagship product and technology platform of BackBox Labs, designed to address the growing complexity of modern cybersecurity through automation, artificial intelligence, and scalable ethical hacking capabilities.

It is important to emphasize that BackBox.org will continue to operate independently as a community-driven open source project, maintaining and evolving the free BackBox Linux distribution.
